12 5	You cant choose your number you must accept a valid phone number. the reason they do that is considering whatsapp allows you to talk to people in different countries but about of the time telephone carriers charge you for international texts so instead of that whatsapp uses your phones net so you wont get charged past your phone carrier:) source: Whatsapp is non registering my idea number its showing error message :could non connect to server error occurred whilst opening connection please help?
